The 12 After 12 Steps
-
We admit we are empowered by Recovery-that our lives are becoming manageable.
-
Come to believe that a Power greater than ourselves has been restoring us to sanity.
-
Continue to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand God.
-
Make a searching and selfless virtuous inventory of our spiritual experiences.
-
Admit to God, to ourselves, and to other human beings the exact nature of who we are.
-
Are entirely ready to have God enhance all these assets of character.
-
Humbly ask God's Grace to transpire.
-
Make a list of all things we can do to be helpful and become willing to act on them all.
-
Make an effort to help others whenever possible, except when to do so would harm relationships or self.
-
Continue to practice spiritual awareness and when we can be useful promptly express ourselves.
-
Seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand God, meditating with the Seven Factors of Enlightenment while we patiently remain in the moment.
-
Having been spiritually enlightened as a result of these steps, we try to share our own message with one another, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
